There is no cure. However, some people do experience remission, and some people are able to, with treatment, regrow hair in the spots where they lost it - although the condition is not cured, and new bald spots may occur.
People who have alopecia usually develop it when they're children. If there is a child with alopecia in your family or community, honor that child today AND educate others about this condition.
Obviously, children with alopecia need everything that ALL kids need - including protection from bullying and teasing.
